About the Story's Author

This is my very first book as a writer and storyteller, inspired by the bedtime tales I created for my young daughter. Every night, we would build the story together—sometimes I would take it one way, and she would quickly redirect me to another. If a part grew too sad, she would stop me and say we had to make it happier. Those playful collaborations sparked the heart of Patch & Boo, born out of our shared imagination and love for stories.

The name Patch & Boo came from my daughter, who would always say it at story time before we began. We aren’t quite sure how we arrived at the characters themselves, but our love of dogs—and her favourite breeds—kept inspiring us to add more. Before long, Patch, Boo, and even their sarcastic cat neighbour Missy had become part of our nightly adventures.

What started as simple bedtime stories has now found its way to paper, so children everywhere can laugh, imagine, and explore with Patch, Boo, and their friends. And this is only the beginning—there are many more adventures of Patch & Boo still to come.
